It’s a special love story. It all began in the plumbing department of a hardware store. Barbara's eyes spotted braided stainless steel. Her response to its purity and beauty was immediate and total. And so began a process that has lasted 18 years. The love story continues. Just watch what’s coming next.
After two and a half years of research and development, Barbara's first collection was shown at the Fashion Accessories Expo in NYC (1995); acknowledged as “The Best and The Brightest,” in their magazine. In 1997, she became smitten with the lint catcher in a clothes dryer. That’s how the knitting collection was born. At the same time she developed her unique magnet closure. It may well have been the first in the USA. In 2001, she took first place in the jewelry category at The Chicago One of A Kind Show.
Today her designs can be seen at:
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA
The Museum of Arts and Design, New York City, NY
LA Phil Store at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, CA
The Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, TX
The Renwick Gallery and The Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C.
